22 May 2026 marked another vibrant chapter for the The Signature Food Fest 5th Edition as the culinary journey landed at the increasingly popular Happy Place Restaurant, strategically located along one of the busiest BSA Kolombong-Lintas junctions in Kota Kinabalu.
Positioned at a highly accessible and energetic hotspot, Happy Place Restaurant has steadily emerged as one of the preferred destinations for quick business lunches, celebration dinners, gatherings, and private events. This special Signature Food Fest evening brought together the full panel of judges and invited personalities for an unforgettable gastronomic experience. Leading the judging panel was TSFF Head Judge Datuk Gordon Leong, accompanied by invited guest judges Mr Jimmy @Pound and Mr Michael Hiew @CantonLane. Also present were Permanent Judge Rory Richardson, Hello Sabah representatives Ms Cassie and Viona, Writer On-The-Go Ms Lorena Binisol, MY KKCity Omar Willie, Sabah KOL Media Alliance’s Ms Belinda Faith, Ben Liew from Delicious Borneo, and Festival Chairman as well as FAVSTYLE Editor-in-Chief Mr Alfred Allen Ginsos together with content creator team member Mr Kevin Claine.
The evening was warmly presented and hosted by Kathie Majimbun alongside Happy Place Restaurant’s excellent hospitality team including Ms Emily, Ryannie, Alex, and Silin, who ensured every guest experienced genuine warmth and attentive service throughout the night.
The culinary presentation began with the restaurant’s impressive signature dish, the Prime Rib Steak Platter (1KG) , before continuing into an indulgent lineup featuring PUSAS prawns, signature salad creations, seafood grill galore selections, and a delightful finale of freshly baked pastries and desserts.
A meaningful highlight of the evening featured Writer On-The-Go Ms Lorena Binisol in an engaging interview session with Happy Place Restaurant Executive Head Chef Kellie Renjus. The discussion offered insightful sharing about the restaurant’s culinary direction, commitment to quality ingredients, and passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
