The Signature Food Fest 5th Edition - Food Judging Journey to Foh Sang A Western Gastronomy Experience at Grub N Vine



The Signature Food Fest 5th Edition food judging journey made its next delicious stop at the vibrant heart of Foh Sang, often known as the Chinatown of KK City. Nestled within one of Kota Kinabalu’s busiest districts, Foh Sang is more than just a famous breakfast destination for the local Chinese community. It is a lively neighborhood filled with the aroma of fresh coffee, bustling morning markets, colourful fruits, fresh vegetables, and generations of culinary traditions that continue to shape the city’s food culture.

This special judging session brought the panel to Grub N Vine, currently recognized as one of the few western bistro restaurants in the area offering a comfortable air-conditioned dining experience together with an exciting variety of western cuisine selections.

The evening was warmly hosted by Chef Jordan, Managing Director of Grub N Vine, alongside Restaurant & Marketing Manager Mr Darryl, who generously curated an indulgent culinary showcase for all attending judges and media representatives. Beyond presenting their signature favorites, the team also introduced several exciting new dishes, creating a memorable evening of flavors and gastronomic exploration.

Among the featured dishes presented during the judging session were the restaurant’s Signature Squid Ink Pasta, Grilled Lamb Loin Chop, Fermented Soy Marinated Wings, Grilled Spring Chicken, Grilled Cabbage, Spicy Linguine with Lime and Prawns, Claypot Soy Chicken with Ikan Masin, and Claypot Soy Stir Fried Beef. Every dish reflected a combination of creativity, comfort, and contemporary western dining influences infused with local flavors.

The judging session was attended by Head Judge Datuk Gordon Leong together with special invited guest and businessman Bro Leo. Also present were Permanent Judge Rory Richardson, SME Advisor & TSFF Judge Adjunct Prof Jessie Jong (A.S.D.K), Writer On-The-Go Editor-in-Chief Lorena Binisol, alongside media representatives from LIFT Media represented by Dinoza, Hello Sabah represented by Ms Viona, MY KKCity represented by Omar Willie, Sabah KOL Media Alliance represented by Belinda Faith, together with the entire FAVSTYLE and The Signature Food Fest crew.
