Happy Place Restaurant Pastry Delights Customers By Writer On-The-Go - Lorena Binisol

At the bustling Kolombong-Lintas area, a charming new pastry destination is quietly winning hearts one bite at a time. Welcome to Happy Place Restaurant, a newly opened pastry corner where delightful flavors, warm hospitality, and festive ambiance blend into a truly memorable experience.

From the moment customers step inside, the atmosphere feels inviting and joyful, almost reminiscent of a cozy Christmas celebration. The thoughtfully designed décor instantly captures attention, creating a comforting space that encourages guests to relax, indulge, and return again.

Behind the success of Happy Place is pastry chef Kellie Renjus, 43, who works alongside his sister Kathie Majimbun, the visionary owner of the establishment. Together, they have created more than just a pastry corner. They have built a destination centered around quality, comfort, and memorable culinary experiences.

What makes Happy Place especially unique is its commitment to healthier indulgence. Kellie revealed that the sugar content in their pastries has been reduced by nearly 50 percent, allowing customers to enjoy rich flavors with greater peace of mind. Despite the reduction, the pastries remain wonderfully satisfying, with many customers describing them as even more enjoyable than traditional recipes.

Freshness is another key priority. Every pastry is baked daily, while any remaining items are carefully discarded to maintain premium quality standards. This dedication to excellence is reflected not only in the food itself but also in the attentive service delivered by the Happy Place team, who continuously create a cheerful and welcoming environment for guests.

Before the official opening, extensive food tasting sessions were conducted to perfect every recipe. Kellie shared that the preparation process demanded precision and commitment, as the team aimed to deliver exceptional quality from the very first day of operation.

Today, Kellie is capable of producing nearly 50 varieties of pastries, including the ever-popular croissant. Yet customers often remark that the flavors found at Happy Place carry a distinctive signature of their own, setting the establishment apart from ordinary pastry destinations.

During the recent Signature Food Fest journey, the team from FAVSTYLE Magazine had the opportunity to experience the pastries firsthand. Every bite delivered rich textures, indulgent flavors, and an impressive balance that left the team thoroughly captivated. Praise was given to both Kellie and Kathy for bringing such a refreshing concept to the local food scene.

As the Kaamatan celebration season continues, Happy Place has also introduced an outdoor extension known as Happy Hut, a cozy gathering corner designed for relaxation, celebration, and meaningful moments with family and friends. The festive addition has quickly become another highlight for visitors seeking warmth, comfort, and joyful memories.

At Happy Place, pastries are more than just desserts. They are carefully crafted experiences served with heart, passion, and a touch of celebration in every bite.
