The first-ever Badi Artisan Kaamatan Fair is now happening at ITCC Shopping Mall Level 2, bringing together culture, creativity, and community spirit through a vibrant showcase of local artisans and entrepreneurs.
Organised by SEED, the event features 50 booths and is chaired by community leader Mary Jim. The fair is proudly supported by the Ministry of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Sabah (Mindet) under the Ministry of Industrial Development, Entrepreneurship and Transportation Sabah.
Running from May 20 to 31, the event invites the public to experience the rich colours of Kaamatan through a diverse selection of homemade traditional food and beverages, traditional attire, handcrafted accessories, and cultural artisan works. Visitors can also enjoy wellness and beauty services including massage, manicure, and pedicure.
Adding to the festive atmosphere are live demonstrations and interactive experiences involving beading, weaving, sewing, and other traditional creative crafts that reflect Sabah’s rich cultural heritage.
More than just a marketplace, the Badi Artisan Kaamatan Fair serves as a meaningful platform to empower local talents, preserve traditional artistry, and
strengthen support for Sabah’s growing artisan and small business community.
