Gold Medal Glory: East Malaysian Barista Shines on the Global Coffee Stage

A moment of pride has arrived for Malaysia’s coffee community as remarkable news emerges from Jiangmen, China. At the prestigious 2026 World Coffee Blending Championship Global Finals, Team Malaysia delivered an exceptional performance, returning home with a historic achievement that places East Malaysian coffee craftsmanship firmly on the international map.

Representing Sabah, barista Ivershaun captivated the global stage with an outstanding display of skill and precision, securing the Gold Medal in the Best Americano Blending category. His victory stands as a proud testament to the dedication, artistry, and rising excellence of Borneo’s coffee talents.
