In a celebration of passion, perseverance, and culinary excellence, Favstyle Magazine and Favstyle Essentials were honored to attend the grand opening of Yi Jia Kopitiam’s newest outlet at BSA Kolombong.

What began as a humble home-based venture during the pandemic has blossomed into a remarkable success story. Founded by Ms. Esther and her family, Yi Jia Kopitiam is a testament to dedication and craftsmanship. Over the course of two and the half years, she meticulously refined more than ten signature dishes, perfecting each recipe with patience and precision. Today, Yi Jia proudly expands to its fifth outlet, with Penampang next in its journey of growth.

The 28th of March 2026 marks yet another meaningful milestone for Ms. Esther, as the grand opening drew an overwhelming crowd of patrons eager to experience the brand’s signature offerings. The event was filled with warmth and joy, attended by close family members, church community, and esteemed media friends, all gathered to celebrate this auspicious occasion.

A vibrant lion dance performance brought energy to the celebration, symbolizing abundance, prosperity, and a promising future for Yi Jia Kopitiam as it continues to flourish.



Adding to the excitement, Yi Jia Kopitiam is officially confirmed as a participant in The Signature Food Fest 5th Edition. Anticipation builds as we look forward to discovering which signature creation they will present on this prestigious stage.

The event was also graced by notable attendees including Mr. Omar Willie from MY KKCity, Ms. Belinda Faith from Sabah KOL Media Alliance, Mr. Ben Liew from Delicious Borneo, Ms. Geena from Hello Sabah, and KOL Mr. Chrislondon.
