Gaman Sabah Got Talent 2026: Where Rising Stars Meet Their Moment
Beneath the shimmering lights of Poseidon Waterfront, an electric atmosphere unfolded as Gaman Sabah Got Talent 2026 brought together 20 exceptional finalists in a celebration of artistry, ambition, and raw expression.
It was an evening where talent did not simply perform—it announced itself.
A Champion Defined by Expression
At just 18, Christopher Cheng Teck Yi emerged as the Overall Champion, delivering a contemporary dance performance that was nothing short of poetic in motion. Each movement carried intention, each pause spoke volumes—an evocative narrative that captivated both judges and audience alike. His victory was not merely a win, but a declaration of artistic maturity beyond his years.
Voices That Commanded the Stage
Taking the title of First Runner-Up, Sabahuddin Bin Syamsuddin Muhammad Sadiq, 27, from Labuan, ignited the stage with a high-energy rap performance. His commanding presence and lyrical precision transformed the atmosphere into something visceral—an undeniable connection between artist and crowd.
Meanwhile, Zac Bin Jas secured Second Runner-Up with a refined vocal delivery of Aishu No Casablanca, the Japanese rendition of the iconic Casablanca. His performance offered a graceful contrast—romantic, controlled, and deeply resonant.
Moments Beyond the Spotlight
In the spirit of celebration, Abqari Bin Asri claimed the Mr Popular title through overwhelming audience support, while Kimideshu stood out with a visually striking presentation to win Best Costume—a reminder that performance is as much seen as it is felt.
The Judging Lens: Precision Meets Potential
Head Judge Clarice John Matha praised the competition for unveiling promising hidden talents, while noting the importance of refining stage confidence, discipline, and personal presence—elements that transform performers into stars.
Fellow judge Dabra Sia highlighted the overall smooth execution of the event, acknowledging the dedication of the organising team despite minor inconsistencies in participant readiness.
Adding a mentor’s perspective, vocal coach and judge Rolland Rhowell emphasised the platform’s value in nurturing emerging talent, commending the structured rehearsals and professional event management that elevated the competition’s standard.
The Journey Continues
The story of Gaman Sabah Got Talent 2026 is far from its final chapter. Audiences are invited to witness the unfolding journey as the Semi-Final takes place on 11 April 2026, followed by the much-anticipated Grand Final on 25 April 2026, at 7:00 PM, once again at Poseidon Waterfront.
A Platform for the Next Generation
More than a competition, Gaman Sabah Got Talent 2026 stands as a cultural —a stage where ambition meets opportunity. It has not only uncovered new voices and movements but has also ignited a pathway for the next generation of performers to step forward, be seen, and ultimately, be remembered.
