Sri Pelancongan Sabah Strengthens Tourism Development Through Three Distinct Brands

KOTA KINABALU, SABAH – As a wholly owned subsidiary of the Sabah Tourism Board (STB), Sri Pelancongan Sabah (SPS) continues to play a strategic role in supporting and complementing the state’s tourism development agenda. Operating under the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah, SPS focuses on enhancing Sabah’s tourism ecosystem through event management, destination marketing, and the promotion of local handicrafts and heritage products.

Kadaiku

Established in 1977, Sri Pelancongan Sabah has evolved into a dynamic tourism support organisation that works closely with STB to strengthen Sabah’s position as a leading tourism destination. Through the delivery of high-impact events, media engagement initiatives, and retail platforms that champion local artisans, SPS contributes to the growth and sustainability of the state's tourism industry.

Today, Sri Pelancongan Sabah operates three distinct brands, each serving a unique function within the tourism value chain:

Hello Sabah Events

Dedicated to professional event management services, Hello Sabah Events conceptualises and executes tourism, cultural, corporate, and community events that enhance visitor experiences and showcase Sabah’s rich cultural diversity. The brand plays an important role in creating platforms that drive tourism engagement and economic activity across the state.

Hello Sabah

As SPS’s media and communications platform, Hello Sabah provides comprehensive coverage of tourism, lifestyle, culture, and travel-related stories through its website and social media channels. The platform serves as a key communication tool in promoting Sabah’s attractions, events, and tourism experiences to both domestic and international audiences.

Kadaiku

Kadaiku serves as a physical and online retail platform dedicated to showcasing Sabah-made handicrafts, souvenirs, and local products. By providing market access for local entrepreneurs and artisans, Kadaiku helps preserve Sabah’s cultural heritage while creating economic opportunities for communities throughout the state.

Through these three complementary brands, Sri Pelancongan Sabah continues to strengthen its mandate of supporting Sabah Tourism Board’s promotional efforts while fostering sustainable tourism growth. By integrating event management expertise, digital media outreach, and local product promotion, SPS remains committed to elevating Sabah’s tourism profile and creating lasting value for industry stakeholders and local communities alike.
