The prestigious celebration was graced by Dato' Hans Isaac, Chairman of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), reaffirming the organisation's commitment to nurturing Malaysia's creative and film industries while recognising the remarkable achievements of Sabah's talented filmmakers.

As the official awards platform under the Apresiasi Filem Sabah (AFIS) programme, the Golden Wind Award (GoWA) continues to honour outstanding excellence across the local film landscape. The awards recognise exceptional accomplishments in directing, screenplay writing, acting, cinematography, technical and artistic excellence, while also celebrating individuals and organisations whose contributions have significantly advanced Sabah's creative ecosystem.

One of the evening's defining moments saw Dato' Hans Isaac receive the prestigious Kinabalu SAFVA Award, presented by Guest of Honour Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan, Sabah's Minister of Youth Development, Sports and Creative Economy. The award symbolised an enduring commitment to elevating Malaysia's film industry and fostering creative excellence across the nation.
Also in attendance were Yee I-Lann, Member of the FINAS Corporation, and Muhammad Ar-Riyyan Mohamad Roslan, Director of Industry Development at FINAS, alongside filmmakers, industry professionals, creative talents, media representatives, and distinguished guests from across Sabah.

The evening reached its pinnacle as Silence of the 177 was crowned Best Film, a testament to the extraordinary creativity, dedication, and storytelling excellence emerging from Sabah's vibrant film community.
