ONE WHOLE MONTH OF GASTRONOMY CELEBRATION: THE SIGNATURE FOOD FEST 5TH EDITION CONCLUDES FOOD JUDGING SESSION AT BURGER BOX, SHERATON KOTA KINABALU

After one whole month of gastronomy celebration and extensive food judging across 16 participating establishments, The Signature Food Fest (TSFF) 5th Edition officially concluded its judging journey at Burger Box, Sheraton Kota Kinabalu, on 1 June 2026.

Covering four categories namely Bistro, Café, Hotel, and Restaurant, the judging panel visited participating establishments throughout the competition period to evaluate their signature dishes, culinary creativity, presentation, service excellence, and overall dining experience. The final judging destination at Sheraton Kota Kinabalu marked the successful completion of this year's culinary journey.





The judging session was led by Head Judge Datuk Gordon Leong, accompanied by Permanent Judge Mr. Rory Richardson, together with invited guest judges Miao In Sabah, Leo Liew (KOL), Dr. Anna, Writer On-The-Go Ms. Lorena Binisol, MY KKCity Omar Willie, and Sabah KOL Media Alliance's Ms. Belinda Faith. The session was further supported by the TSFF Organising Committee and the FAVSTYLE editorial team.



Representing Sheraton Kota Kinabalu were F&B Director Mr. Jammaz, Director of Marketing & Communications Ms. Tina Goh, and Chef Bobby, who warmly welcomed the judges and guests throughout the afternoon.










Besides presenting Burger Box's signature offerings for evaluation, the culinary team also delighted the judges with a selection of additional dishes including the Grilled Tandoori Salmon, Crispy O Fish, and the flavour-packed Triple Smash Burger. The tasting session provided an opportunity for the judges to experience the diversity and quality of the hotel's culinary offerings.




Adding a special highlight to the afternoon, Mr. Jammaz personally showcased the hotel's elegant Hi-Tea Set for Datuk Gordon Leong and the judging panel to sample. Guests were also introduced to the exclusive Silver Jubilee Dilmah Tea Selection, reflecting Sheraton Kota Kinabalu's commitment to refined hospitality and premium dining experiences.










The atmosphere throughout the session was filled with laughter, engaging conversations, food-sharing moments, and meaningful exchanges among the judges, guests, and hotel team. Following the judging session, attendees gathered for a commemorative group photograph before enjoying a brief tour of the hotel's facilities and establishments.

As the curtain closes on a month-long gastronomic celebration, The Signature Food Fest 5th Edition continues its mission of recognizing culinary excellence while promoting Sabah's vibrant food and hospitality industry. The journey now moves toward the much-anticipated Award Night, where outstanding establishments and culinary talents will be honored for their achievements.
