FALIDA MOTOR SDN BHD CONTINUES SUPPORT FOR PCAKK

Palliative Care Association of Kota Kinabalu (PCAKK) was pleased to welcome a delegation from Falida Motor Sdn Bhd, a valued supporter that has been contributing to the Association's charitable efforts for many years.
During the visit, Falida Motor Sdn Bhd donated an oxygen concentrator to support PCAKK's Home Care Programme. In addition,Datuk Ellisa Ibrahim, Director of Falida Motor Sdn Bhd, contributed an oxygen concentrator,while Mr Adam Nazri, Director of Falida Motor Sdn Bhd, donated two wheelchairs, These donations will assist PCAKK in providing essential medical equipment and quality palliative care services to patients and families in need.




The Falida Motor 7 members delegation was led by Ms Yap Choy Ling, Manager, together with Ms Michelle Fu, who attended on behalf of the Directors of the company.
Representing PCAKK was Dato' Dr Jaswant Singh, President of PCAKK. Also present were Datuk Margaret Lim, Advisor, Ms Agnes Thien, Honorary Secretary, Ms Mastura Hj Naitullah, Assistant Honorary Secretary, and Management Committee Members Ms Nellie Wong, Datin Noridah Yassin, Ms Caroline Paxton, and Ms Shirley Ong.



PCAKK extends its sincere appreciation to Falida Motor Sdn Bhd, Datuk Ellisa Ibrahim and Mr Adam Nazri for their generosity and continued support. Their contributions will make a meaningful difference in improving the quality of life of patients under PCAKK's care and further strengthen the Association's efforts in serving the community.

It was a very fulfilling and insightful trip to Keningau recently, where the Angin family from Kg. Biah, Sook celebrated an important engagement ceremony. A family member was engaged to someone from outside the Murut community. Shonney Doney, who is of Murut and Dusun heritage, became engaged to a Sino-Kadazan young man from outside the Keningau district. What was truly special is that the Angin family prepared a cultural presentation featuring Siopon, a traditional homemade rice drink kept in jars. The beverage has been passed down for generations and is still practiced today. According to Liza Angin, Shonney’s aunt, the family has been making Siopon for many years, starting with their mother, Villine Lius, who is now 74 years old. Due to health reasons, she can no longer prepare it, so Liza and her siblings made the effort to learn and continue the family tradition.
