SHERATON KOTA KINABALU AND LE MERIDIEN KOTA KINABALU JOINED TO SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY EVENT



KOTA KINABALU, MALAYSIA – April 18, 2026 – While International Women’s Day (IWD) is officially celebrated annually on March 8, the movement’s momentum extends far beyond asingle day. Recently, Sheraton Kota Kinabalu and Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu held a joint eventin honor of IWD. As an extension of key IWD celebrations, the event reflected a commitment to accelerating gender parity and celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

Sheraton Kota Kinabalu recently hosted the IWD celebration featuring a lavish Western set luncheon and an insightful panel session centered on the 2026 theme ‘Give to Gain’. Led by General Manager Nauman Hasan and Suresh Ramasamy, General Manager of Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu, the event brought together over 60 associates and industry leaders to discuss female empowerment and community contribution.

Nauman extended a warm welcome to the guests and associates:

Joining the dialogue were the Executive Committee from Sheraton Kota Kinabalu, special invited guests from TP GroupErica Lim, Louise Lim, Isabel Chu, and Emily Chong.

The venue was elegantly transformed for the occasion, featuring a function room styled with purple linens and fresh orchids to reflect the IWD colors. The event concluded with a networking among associates from various departments of both Sheraton and Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu hotels.
