A Night of Support, Unity & Heritage — KQP x Gayong | Write up by Dr Erle Henry
Last night marked a meaningful and spirited gathering as the KQP (King & Queen Of The Pacific) team, alongside BOM (Bachelor of Malaysia) and RTK (Randawi Tavantang Kaamatan), came together for a special movie outing in support of Sabah-born actor Lee Tian Jiang, fondly known as TJ.
This connection was not by chance. It began in December last year, when TJ was invited as one of the judges, accompanied by his manager Dr Geo Allen George. As the Grand Winner of Bachelor of Malaysia 2025, TJ’s presence left a strong impression, sparking a network that has since grown into a meaningful collaboration.
Through this connection, KQP was honored with an invitation to support the screening of Gayong together. In a strong show of unity, KQP brought along 36 team members to GSC Imago Cinema for the 8:15 PM screening, turning the evening into a vibrant and supportive affair.

Gayong is more than just an action film. It is a powerful biographical tribute to Meor Abdul Rahman, the revered founder of Seni Silat Gayong, one of Malaysia’s most iconic martial arts traditions. The film traces his journey from youth, highlighting the trials he faced in defending dignity and heritage, as well as his relentless efforts to elevate Silat Gayong to both national and international stages.
Rich in historical depth and patriotic spirit, the story weaves themes of discipline, courage, and identity, painting a vivid portrait of resilience and cultural pride.
TJ’s performance brings a compelling dimension to the film, adding emotional depth and intensity to the narrative. His portrayal enhances the storyline through meaningful character development and dramatic presence, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
In essence, Gayong stands not only as an action-packed cinematic experience, but as a heartfelt homage to Malaysia’s cultural legacy and enduring warrior spirit.
