The global meetings and incentives industry gathered once again at the prestigious Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME), held from 9 to 11 February 2026 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia. Among the destinations drawing strong interest this year was Sabah, Malaysian Borneo, presented by the Sabah Convention Bureau.

Positioning Sabah as “Your Business Events Playground,” the delegation highlighted the destination’s unique blend of nature, culture, and modern event infrastructure. From beachfront conventions to rainforest-inspired incentive experiences, Sabah continues to stand out as a destination where business meets adventure.

Visitors to the Sabah booth explored new opportunities for conferences, corporate retreats, and incentive travel, while engaging directly with the bureau’s team to discuss partnerships and upcoming initiatives. The conversations were not only about venues and logistics, but also about creating meaningful, sustainable events that leave a lasting legacy for both organizers and local communities.

As Malaysia moves toward Visit Malaysia 2026, Sabah is stepping confidently onto the international stage, showcasing its readiness to host world-class events while offering experiences that go far beyond the meeting room.

With strong participation and enthusiastic interest from international buyers and planners, Sabah’s presence at AIME 2026 reinforced its growing reputation as one of Asia Pacific’s most inspiring and versatile business events destinations.
