In a celebration that brings together compassion, community spirit and the enduring power of hope, the Sabah Kinabalu Pink Ribbon (SKPR) marked a significant milestone with the official opening of The Pink Haven, its dedicated centre envisioned as a place of hope, healing and support for breast cancer warriors and those navigating their journey towards recovery.

Held on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at No. 10, Lorong Pokok Meranti, Taman Seputeh, Jalan Damai Luyang, Kota Kinabalu, the auspicious occasion welcomed invited dignitaries, distinguished guests, members of the media and supporters who gathered to witness the beginning of a meaningful new chapter for the organization.





Representing the media fraternity, Mr Alfred Allen Ginsos, Editor-in-Chief of FAVSTYLE Magazine and representative of FAVSTYLE Media, was among the invited guests attending the official opening ceremony, reflecting the publication's recognition of initiatives that champion community wellbeing, social responsibility and meaningful human connections.





A Meaningful Milestone in the Journey of Support

The official ceremony commenced with the arrival of invited guests at 10:30 AM, followed by the arrival of the Guest of Honour at 11:00 AM.

The programmed featured a welcome address by the President of Sabah Kinabalu Pink Ribbon, followed by an address from the organization's Patron and Founder. A special speech was subsequently delivered by YB Datuk Rina Jainal, representing the Chief Minister, underscoring the importance of collective support and awareness in addressing breast cancer and its wider impact on individuals, families and communities.





One of the defining moments of the occasion was the official opening ceremony and plaque unveiling at 11:45 AM, formally marking the establishment of The Pink Haven.

The celebration continued with a commemorative banner-signing session, appreciation and memento presentations, an official photography session and a guided tour of the centre, giving guests an opportunity to discover the vision and purpose behind this dedicated sanctuary.





The gathering concluded with a lunch reception, bringing together guests and supporters in a spirit of appreciation and solidarity.

The Pink Haven represents more than the opening of a physical space. It embodies a compassionate vision of creating an environment where breast cancer warriors can find encouragement, emotional support, understanding and a renewed sense of belonging.

It was a very fulfilling and insightful trip to Keningau recently, where the Angin family from Kg. Biah, Sook celebrated an important engagement ceremony.
