MAJAPS Pays Courtesy Visit to TAEDSB, Strengthening Strategic Ties and Community Welfare Initiatives

Tanjung Aru Eco Development Sdn. Bhd. (TAEDSB) welcomed a delegation from the Sabah Council of Justices of the Peace (Majlis Jaksa-Jaksa Pendamai Sabah, MAJAPS) for a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening strategic relations and exploring potential collaborations in community welfare and social development.

The delegation, led by MAJAPS President DSP Clarence B. Malakun, JP, was received by TAEDSB General Manager Datuk TPr. Alijus @ Mohd Ali Bin Sipil at Pantai 3, Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu, on Thursday, 22 October 2026.

The MAJAPS delegation also comprised Datuk Kevin Lim, JP; Datuk James Ligunjang, JP; Datuk Anthony Linggian, JP; Datuk John Sikayun, JP; and Mr. Alexander Hugo Malakun, JP.

Exploring Strategic Collaboration Through Charity and Recreation

The meeting provided an important platform for both organisations to strengthen their relationship and explore opportunities for future cooperation, particularly through the proposed inaugural MAJAPS Charity Run / Evening Run 2026.

The proposed initiative aims to bring together sports, charitable causes, healthy living and community participation in a meaningful event that encourages people from different backgrounds to connect through a shared commitment to social well-being.

Beyond promoting physical activity, the proposed charity run could also serve as a platform to raise awareness of community welfare initiatives while encouraging a more active and socially engaged lifestyle among Sabahans.

The initiative aligns with TAEDSB's aspirations to enhance Tanjung Aru as an inclusive, sustainable and community-friendly recreational destination. Through strategic partnerships and public engagement, the development of Tanjung Aru can extend beyond its physical landscape to create opportunities for meaningful social interaction and community participation.

Building Partnerships for a Sustainable Future

TAEDSB continues to welcome strategic collaborations that contribute positively to community well-being and support sustainable social development. Engagements such as this courtesy visit reflect the importance of cooperation between organisations in identifying shared goals and translating ideas into initiatives that benefit the wider community.

While the proposed MAJAPS Charity Run / Evening Run 2026 represents a potential avenue for collaboration, the discussions also underscore a broader vision of strengthening institutional relationships, encouraging healthier lifestyles and fostering a stronger sense of community responsibility.

As Tanjung Aru continues to be positioned as an important recreational destination in Kota Kinabalu, initiatives that combine public participation, social responsibility and sustainable development could play a valuable role in shaping its future.

The courtesy visit marks a positive step towards exploring collaborative opportunities between MAJAPS and TAEDSB, with the shared aspiration of creating lasting value for the community.

Strengthening Networks. Empowering Communities. Building a Sustainable Future.
