The Last Tantagas – Keepers of the Sacred Text follows the final journey of four Dusun Lotud spiritual guardians who uphold centuries-old rituals and the sacred rinait Monumbui. As age overtakes them and no successors remain, they confront the painful truth that their lineage will end.

The story revisits their rigorous path to becoming Tantagas Wagu, guided by the seven ancestral spirits (Dahau). In a world that no longer values traditional spirituality, they choose a dignified farewell through a sacred buffalo sacrifice, releasing the spirits and closing their lifelong duties. A moving tribute to identity, legacy and a tradition’s final breath.
