Congratulations on the successful organisation of a truly outstanding programme. More than just a platform to uncover Sabah’s rising talents, this initiative also carried a meaningful purpose by contributing to school fundraising efforts. From start to finish, the programme unfolded seamlessly, thoughtfully curated and engaging throughout, never once losing its momentum


What stood out most was the impeccable structure of the event, executed with clarity and consistency from the district-level rounds, through the semi-finals, and culminating in a grand finale that felt both polished and powerful. Behind this success was a solid and well-synchronised team, from the Principal, YDP LPS and PIBG, to the ever-supportive and composed teachers, alongside dedicated student crews and inspiring alumni who brought incredible energy to every stage.


At the heart of it all was the leadership of a passionate, visionary and creative educator, Walter Misir, whose commitment and direction elevated the entire programme. This edition has undeniably placed BGT firmly on the map in Sabah, earning recognition and admiration across the state.


Should there be a next edition, one thing is certain: expect an even greater wave of participation. The benchmark has been set, and the future looks bright.

Every Wednesday and Thursday, something special happens in Donggongon , the vibrant township at the heart of Penampang . The streets come alive as villagers, vendors and townsfolk gather for the beloved Tamu , a weekly market that has long been part of the community’s rhythm. For generations, the Tamu has been more than just a marketplace. It is a meeting ground where stories are exchanged, traditions are preserved, and the spirit of the community continues to thrive. At the moment, vendors are temporarily operating in the open space between shop lots while the new permanent Tamu building is under construction. The upcoming structure promises a more modern look, but many locals still remember the rustic charm of the old Tamu, where simple stalls created a warm and authentic village atmosphere.
