Environmental sustainability is no longer a distant conversation. It is a present and pressing responsibility.

On 24 January 2026, SABAR brings this critical dialogue to the forefront with The Rubbish Crisis in Sabah, a compelling public presentation by Datuk Dr. Chua Kim Hing, former Director General of DBKK. Drawing from years of institutional experience, the session will explore the perennial waste management challenges facing Sabah, examining both systemic gaps and collective accountability.

Hosted at KK Wetlands, the event invites the public to engage in an informed discussion on environmental stewardship, urban responsibility, and the long-term impact of waste on Sabah’s natural landscape.

This is more than a talk. It is a call for awareness, participation, and action.
Everyone is invited to be part of the conversation shaping Sabah’s environmental future.
