Youth-Led Lumee BTW Brings ‘Hole in the Wall’ Café Concept to Penampang By: Writer on-the-go | feature in Favstyle Magazine

Image
It began as a spark, an idea that stirred conversations, debates and even a few arguments. No one expected it to grow so quickly into something that would excite the community. Rather than opening another ordinary coffee shop, a group of young entrepreneurs decided to create something different: a playful café experience built around a simple yet unusual idea. That idea has now become Lumee BTW (Behind The Wall) , a grab-and-go kiosk in Penampang featuring an interactive “hole in the wall” concept that brings a little theatre to the everyday coffee run. Originally launched in November last year at Caravan, The Shore, Citadines Kota Kinabalu, Lumee temporarily closed operations in June due to unforeseen circumstances. But the story did not end there. By July 5, 2026, the team was already back at the drawing board, brainstorming what could come next. It was then that Chris Steward Anak Jinbai proposed the idea of a “hole in the wall” concept, inspired by a café in Kuala Lumpur kno...

Since its inaugural edition in 2000, SIE has evolved into a signature gathering for commerce, investment and international collaboration. Jointly organized by the Sabah State Government, the Federation of Sabah Industries and the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce & Industry Sabah, the 11th edition carries a particularly compelling proposition: Sabah as a gateway to global opportunities. From 4 to 6 September 2026 , the Sabah International Convention Centre will become a meeting ground for businesses, investors, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and international delegates. More than an exhibition, SIE2026 offers a sophisti...

THE QUIET ARCHITECTURE OF WELLNESS Qi, Blood & Fluids: A More Complete Way to Think About Everyday Health By Bonie Tan | Health Management Consultant

There is a particular kind of fatigue that modern life has made almost ordinary. You take your vitamins. You add minerals to your routine. Perhaps there is calcium, fish oil, iron or another carefully selected supplement on the shelf. Your meals are reasonably balanced, yet the tiredness remains. You wake without feeling truly restored. Your hands and feet feel cold in an air-conditioned room. Your shoulders tighten after hours at a desk. Your eyes or mouth may feel dry. Your digestion becomes uncomfortable. And when evening finally arrives, exhaustion does not always bring restful sleep. The natural response is often to ask: What am I missing? Perhaps another vitamin. More iron. More calcium. Another supplement. But there is a more fundamental question worth considering: Can the body effectively transport, utilize and metabolize what we are already giving it? This question opens the door to an elegant framework known as Qi, Blood and Fluids , three interconnected concepts that offer a...
